Interpreting the medical job recruitment sector can be a huge challenge. It is an important market. It includes medical recruitment, language training, arrival to the new country and additional support activities for the specialist doctors and medical professionals. This practice helps doctors and their families fulfil their potentials and dreams, develop professionally, fill a gap in a foreign city to serve the public requirements and much more.
The challenge
The client approached TTC wetranslate with an interpreting enquiry which will take place in the UK in a week’s time. The meeting was going to last a whole day, containing a sequence of interviews with GPs working in the UK. Languages required were Croatian and Lithuanian.
The interpreters needed to be field experts as well as proactive.
Another challenge was that the client was going to fly to the UK day before the event. They were already pre-occupied with several arrangements and had limited time to spare thinking about interpreters.
The solution
TTC wetranslate project manager, found the most relevant resources for this event and brought them together on a video call so that the interpreters, TTC wetranslate and the client get familiar with all parties and fill any information gap regarding the assignment. Also staying available and checking in with the interpreters, sharing the last-minute timetable updates, and informing the client on an early Saturday morning, TTC wetranslate project manager ensured that the project is off to a great start.
This arrangement has been appreciated by the client, who, knowing the experts joining the meeting beforehand and defining the expectations, saved time for more pressing matters at their hands.
Another benefit of the arrangement is that the interpreters were able to work with each other in a more coherent way during the assignment.
