Empowering the next generation of translation talent: we have close partnerships with the University of Essex, and Dokuz Eylul, and Ege Universities in Izmir, Turkey. Every year we run The Translation Challenge, a yearly event which gives translation students the experience of being a translator in the world of commerce and industry. Read more here. Our co-founder Levent Yildizgoren is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Essex and loves the experience. We believe in giving a leg up to young people into the translation industry and fostering partnerships with educational institutions.

Company culture: We work remotely and our project team are spread across England and Turkey. We meet in person a few times a year for team-building activities, we have wellbeing catch-ups once a month and play online games every week, to foster our sense of community while still working remotely. TTC wetranslate has a culture of compassion and cross-cultural understanding. We’ve also been known to meet up online and have takeaway dinners together from time to time!
