Will you ‘take a step forward’ during Global Entrepreneurship Week 18-24 November 2013?

global-entreprenuers-weekThe theme for Global Entrepreneurship Week this year is ’Take a step forward’ and will promote entrepreneurship and the importance of making the UK more entrepreneurial.

With more than 3000 events planned in the UK, organised in such a way as to encourage current and aspiring entrepreneurs to take a step forward with their plans; whether that’s starting a business, going after a new opportunity or to grow globally, awakening your inner Entrepreneur has never been a better time than this week!.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship. Each year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation to consider starting up their own businesses.  Around 100 countries across the globe are signed up to take part, and millions of people will use the week to create new opportunities and progress successful ventures; Half the population would like to start their own business, less than 5% actually do’. This is exactly what this week is about. Last year 279,500 people attended over 3,200 events, organised by 532 partner organisations across the UK.

Coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship week, businesses and residents living in and around Chelmsford will be able to get the insights and advice needed to start or develop their business further at the 5th Chelmsford Business Showcase taking place in Chelmsford on 20 November 2013 in Anglia Ruskin University. This free to attend event will have 41 exhibitors and 8 seminars providing plenty of ideas, guidance as well as enabling attendees to connect with influential local businesses.

There will be variety of subjects covered from social media, branding to international growth and more. TTC wetranslate’s managing director Levent Yildizgoren is exhibiting and presenting and through both avenues, will provide tips on how to use your website to sell your products/services globally. With the majority of businesses having websites and one third of the world’s population with internet access – an increase of 566% in the last 10 years, limiting your customers to your local area or your domestic market is no longer necessary or makes economic sense. To register for this event visit http://www.chelmsford.gov.uk/showcase
