Fire safety translation is one of TTC’s specialties and we work with multiple large manufacturing clients from this industry. One of them is Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd, a manufacturer of high-quality fire detection solutions and global suppliers based in the UK. We have been working with Apollo Fire Detectors for a long time now and over the years, we carried out 92 multilingual translation projects for them in tens of different languages including European and Nordic languages, thanks to our years of experience with the subject matter and great pool of translators specialized in the topic.
The Challenge
For this particular project, our client needed a German translation as well as DTP typesetting for their installation guide. The subject matter was difficult, the workload was plenty and the timeframe was tight. Furthermore, with two important steps needed for the project and so little time, we had to be extra careful with our planning.
Knowing and specializing in DTP as well, we are well aware that DTP typesetting process is just as important as the translation process itself and thus should be treated with the same sensitivity and we had to involve our DTP specialists early on in the project.
The Solution
Our experienced PMs got to work immediately and contacted our specialist translators and DTP specialists. Meanwhile, we’ve informed the client every step of the project while keeping all the parties in sync. First we handled the translation process thanks to the hard work of our PMs and specialized translators. Once the translation was done and completed, we transferred the process to the hands of our DTP specialist. Because we applied our proven processes as always, we’ve managed to deliver both steps of the project on time while maintaining the highest quality possible.
Our client contact person, the Product Marketing & Branding Administrator of Apollo, was happy with receiving her quote and project on time and being kept informed during the process. They described the service from the project management team as professional, prompt and effective, adding that they were very happy with the communication, effectiveness and timeliness.
